Eastside DUO Fund Grant 2024

A

“Community Led Giving

 Project”


What: OKLAHOMA CITY —
The Do Unto Others Fund (DUO), in collaboration with Flourish OKC, has selected awardees for their community-led giving initiative.

Who: This grant was open to the following three focus groups - Black Community Leaders, Non-Profit Organizations, and Social Enterprises that work specifically in the Northeast portion of Oklahoma or whose programs or participants are primarily for residents of NE Oklahoma City.

The Eastside DUO Fund committee received a total of 151 applicants for this initiative with the financial amount requested by applicants totaling $5,617,686.20. The Committee selected 16 applicants who were awarded grants ranging from $2,750 - $40,000 to help them begin or continue working on projects that will have an impact on the NE Oklahoma City community. We are in awe of the number of applications we received, and although we can not provide funding support to all who applied, we sincerely enjoyed learning about each project and wish success to each applicant as they continue with their future endeavors. Clara Community Health Center - $25,000

Modern Manhood Foundation - $20,000

Organizational Community First Organization - $19,250

Beyond a Budget - $5,000

Kidvation Global - $30,000

Project Exit - $20,000

Hill Academy Learning Community - $40,000

Daylight Essentials - $3,000

Class Matters - $40,000

Eye to Eye Marriage Enrichment Community - $20,000

Better Black News - $7,000

Prospect/Thelma Parks Whiz Kids Site- $2,750

BETA ETA LAMBDA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION - $3,000

We hope that our passion to see Oklahoma City thrive can be felt in a real way through this initiative to Do Unto Others. WHEN:  The application period was open from February 2nd until March 1st, 2024 and awardees are being announced on March 12th, 2024. Awardees will be celebrated later this month with a luncheon held at Shiloh Adventures.
